Prima Volta began as a three-day music and arts festival as part of Limerick City of Culture 2014 featuring international artists such as Fatima, Kutmah and Illum Sphere.

Over the last decade Prima Volta has evolved but our aim has always remained the same: to provide a platform for new and emerging Irish talent with a focus on hip-hop, jazz, and beat-orientated music.

We’re really proud to be a part of Limerick’s vibrant music scene and to celebrate our 10 th anniversary we are hosting an action-packed weekender - in association with Limerick City and County Council - featuring some old favourites and some new faces. We're hosting events From Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th in The Record Room, Downbeat Record Shop, The Wickham way and Starling Gallery.
